Enhancement of Belconnen Town Centre

Launch of Belconnen's New Bus Timetables and Stations

As part of the Belconnen Town Centre Improvements Project, new permanent bus stations in Belconnen are soon to be complete. These include the retail precinct bus station at the entrance of Westfield Belconnen off Lathlain Street, as well as the Belconnen Community Station located off Benjamin Way adjacent to the Community Centre.

ACTION and RoadsACT are giving a public presentation on:

12.00pm- 2.00pm, 30 September 2010, Community Room 1,
Upstairs Belconnen Library, Chandler Street

To allow for buses to service these new stations, a new ACTION timetable will be introduced in November 2010. To coincide with timetable changes, ACTION will implement a range of improvements across the network. These include:

Cameron Ave Shuttle Bus Service

Starting at 9:15am on Monday 16th November 2009 a shuttle service will operate in and around the Belconnen Town Centre Community Centre Precinct providing access to the elderly and mobility impaired to and from the Cameron Avenue bus stop.

The Shuttle Serive will run approximately every 15 minutes and complete a loop leaving Cameron Avenue, heading north along Chandler Street, south along benjamin and west back along Cameron Avenue returning to the starting point.

The Shuttle service will start and finish at the newly installed Taxi
Zone on the southern side of Cameron Avenue next to the pedestrian

Cameron Offices Bus Stop

RoadsACT have advised me on 3 July 2009 that shelters, with seating, will be provided within three to four weeks on the Taxation Office side of the Cameron Offices' bus stop.
