Future Uses for Former School Sites

The ACT Government is consulting the community on the possible future uses of school sites that were closed at the end or 2006 or are to be closed over the next few years.

Purdon Associates has been appointed to co-ordinate the consultation process, which will run from late September 2007 to early December 2007.

This consultation process will be conducted in two broad stages:

  1. Options Workshops to be held in Tuggeranong, Belconnen and Woden/Weston Creek.
  2. A series of local community information sessions.

The Belconnen region options workshop is to be held at:

Tuesday 25 September
Arrive at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm (sharp) start
Finish 9:00pm
Marathon Room, Australian Institute of Sport (entry via
the visitor centre)
Leverrier Crescent, Bruce

The Options Workshop will discuss the four ‘generic’ options which have been developed to facilitate community discussion about how these sites could be used to the benefit of the
community. If you cannot attend the Belconnen briefing, there are two other dates and times available.

If you would like to attend, you must register. Visit the future school sites website to submit a registration for the event.
